Ingredients
- 4 large bell peppers (any color)
- 1 pound ground meat (beef, turkey, or chicken)
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 cup diced tomatoes (canned or fresh)
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
Instructions
- Begin by preheating your air fryer to 360°F (180°C). While it heats up, prepare the bell peppers by slicing the tops off and removing the seeds and membranes. Set them aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, cooked rice, diced tomatoes, diced onion, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Carefully stuff each bell pepper with the meat and rice mixture, pressing down lightly to confirm they’re filled to the top. Place the stuffed peppers in the air fryer basket, standing upright.
- Cook the stuffed peppers in the air fryer for 15-20 minutes, or until the meat is fully cooked and the peppers are tender. If desired, you can sprinkle the cheese on top of the peppers during the last 5 minutes of cooking for a melty finish.
- Once cooked, carefully remove the stuffed peppers from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
Extra Tips
Feel free to top the stuffed peppers with sour cream, avocado, or salsa when serving for an extra kick. Adjust cooking times based on the size of the peppers and the air fryer model for best results.
